Cats and hairballs

Our cats are expert groomers. Have you noticed how meticulous they are when it comes to this little ritual? But even the most assiduous cat will swallow hairs when grooming – it’s only natural.

There are ways you can help, though. With a little care and attention, hairballs needn't be a problem.

Some tips:

  • Brush long-haired cats daily and short-haired cats several times a week. Remember that cats shed more hair during the summer!

  • Is she not a fan of the brush? Don’t worry, there are many options. Try a brush with different bristles, a glove or a comb.

  • When hairballs are becoming a hassle, consider hairball reducing food or a mild laxative.
